Description

The SilverGuard Mobile Computer Transfer Station (MCTS) is a portable hardware device that allows you to collect patrol data from multiple BCS Tag Readers and later download the data directly to a computer through a serial or USB port.

The Mobile Computer Transfer Station (MCTS):

  • Allows you to collect patrol data from BCS Tag Readers at off-site locations where installing a data collection station is not feasible (e.g. construction sites)
  • Frees your employees at off-site locations from having to bring their BCS Tag Readers to a central office in order to download their data
  • Reduces costs by having one MCTS instead of many CTS at each off-site location

The MCTS’s ability to download patrol data from multiple BCS Tag Readers without being connected to a computer makes the MCTS indispensable in remote data collection applications. Supervisors can carry the MCTS, downloading patrol data from each wand into the MCTS at each site. After the patrol data has been collected, the supervisor returns to the central office, connects the MCTS to a computer and transfers the data to the BCS Patrol Monitoring Software for processing.

The MCTS has a memory capacity of approximately 37,000 checkpoints and can collect data from many BCS Tag Readers. Its features also include a speaker and LEDs (red and green) to show the status of the MCTS when it is connected, full, transferring data, has errors, or completes a data transfer.
